Our 11x17 calendar printing makes a 28-page wall calendar that folds to 11 x 8.5 and hangs open at 11 x 17. The photo sits above the fold and the month grid below. It is stapled, drilled for a nail and priced from 10 copies.
How an 11 x 17 wall calendar is built
An 11 x 17 wall calendar is a stack of folded 11 x 17 sheets. Each sheet carries four 11 x 8.5 pages, two on each side.
- We print each sheet on 12 x 18 in paper, so photos can run off the edge.
- We stack 7 sheets, fold them and staple them twice on the fold. That makes 28 pages.
- We trim the edges to the finished size: 11 x 8.5 closed, 11 x 17 open.
- We drill one 1/4 in hanging hole through the edge opposite the fold.
On the wall, the calendar opens flat. Each month shows its photo page above the fold and its grid page below it.

Why you send single pages, not spreads
Send 28 single pages in reading order, each 11.25 x 8.75 in. That is the 11 x 8.5 page plus 0.125 in of bleed on every side.
We arrange the pages on the sheets ourselves. On a folded calendar, the pages that share a sheet are mostly not the pages that face each other on the wall. Page 1 shares a side with page 28, for example. If you send 11 x 17 spreads, we have to cut them apart, and the order breaks.
- Keep text 0.375 in inside the trim.
- Keep a 1 in circle clear at the centre of the outer edge. That is the bottom of odd pages and the top of even pages, where we drill.
- Use photos of at least 2,700 x 2,100 pixels for a full page.
