Rescue calendars sell themselves: supporters buy a year of happy alumni dogs and cats, adopters buy the month their pet is in, and local businesses pay to sponsor a month. We print from 10 copies, so a small rescue can test the idea before ordering hundreds.
A pet photo contest pays twice
Charge a small entry fee for supporters to submit their pet's photo, let votes pick the 12 monthly winners and the cover, then sell the calendar to everyone who entered. Entries, votes and sales all raise money.

- Months: alumni pets in their new homes, with their adoption story in one line.

Photos of pets that print well
- Natural light, at the pet's eye level, with the eyes in focus.
- Ask for the original file from the phone, not a social media download.
- Landscape photos fill the 11 x 8.5 photo pages; portrait photos suit the mini.
Timeline
- September–October: run the photo contest and sell sponsor months.
- Late October: lay out the calendar on our free template, or send the photos and we lay it out for $39.
- Early November: approve your proof and order. For holiday sales, order by at the latest.
Questions
Can every winning pet get a whole month?
Yes: 12 months plus the cover gives you 13 featured pets. Collages fit more.
Can we sell some and mail some to donors?
Yes. Add mailing envelopes when you order and they ship with the calendars.
What's the minimum?
10 calendars. Most rescues order 100 to 250.
