On the letter books, one price covers any page count up to 48. The half-letter book always has 100 pages: pad a shorter file with blank or lined pages for notes. Product pages: color coil workbook, black-and-white coil workbook and coil journal.
Spiral, coil or comb?
"Spiral bound" usually means a plastic coil: a continuous spiral threaded through round holes. It lets the book open flat and fold back on itself. Comb binding uses a flat plastic comb and rectangular holes; wire-o uses a double loop of metal wire. We bind with plastic coil only.

Turn your PDF into a spiral bound book
- Check the page size. 8.5 x 11 in for the letter books, 5.5 x 8.5 in for the half letter. Add 0.125 in bleed on every side if anything runs to the edge.
- Leave room for the coil. Keep text 0.5 in from the binding edge. Mirrored margins in Word handle this for you.
- Put the cover first. Page 1 is the front cover; the interior follows in reading order. Leave the back cover out.
- Count pages. Up to 48 interior pages for the letter books; exactly 100 for the half letter.
- Export a PDF with fonts embedded and images at 300 ppi.
